This is the fact that we must never make any compromise whatsoever with the attractiveness of the place we live in. During chilly and cold nights most people would require a blanket to keep them warm and cosy.
Nowadays there are numerous options available in the market as far as blankets are concerned. Throw blankets are one of the many blankets that are available in the present day market.
What is a throw blanket?
There are numerous kinds of blanket available in the market. And what makes this throw blanket different from all these other kinds of blankets is very important. Throw blankets are mainly made from animal fur. During ancient times, animal fur was used for providing warmth and comfort. Since these are made predominately from animal fur they get disintegrated quickly and needs to be replaced. Hence the name ‘throw’. These blankets are usually medium sized about three feet in width and five feet in length. They are given decorative edges unlike the other kinds of blankets presently available in the market.
The major advantage that these throw blankets possess is that they are available in numerous designs. Depending upon the other pieces of furniture used in the room and the colour given to the walls, the most suited design can be selected. Also the colour of the bed and the shape and size of the cot needs to be considered while purchasing the blanket. If not selected properly, the blanket may damage the overall attractiveness of the room.
Since they are made mainly from animal fur, their durability is not commendable. But this is made up with the visual attractiveness that they possess. They are also made from natural fibres like rayon and cotton. Rayon is the most attractive material used for making these blankets because of the ease of stitching and knitting. Cotton is also used but is not desirable because cotton does not have the ability to lock heat and provide warmth to the user. But in hot areas where blankets are used just for decoration, cotton is preferred.
